RedRock Energy Case Study
40 MW electrolyser system part of a large-scale Energy Park in Åland.
In this section, you will review a real-world case study featuring Redrock Energy . Here we will showcase the project that RedRock is developing in Åland. The Energy Park consists of a solar park and hydrogen station based on Stargate Hydrogen’s Aurora System.

Key facts about the project

Objectives
EnergiPark Åland is a renewable energy project that serves as the perfect example of cooperation and hard work towards a shared goal. The concept called EnergiPark Åland, where innovative technologies are combined to produce and store green energy.
Led by RedRock Energy AB, the park combines solar and wind electricity generated by OX2 to power Stargate Hydrogen’s hydrogen production system, and Q-Power’s e-methane technology, both designed to produce and store green energy.
The focus is on generating electricity from solar panels and at the same time work to promote biodiversity through their design choices and methods. This sustainable energy solution can either be fed into the Åland grid or used by hydrogen-powered vehicles that can refuel within the EnergiParken.

Why Stargate
RedRock chose Stargate Hydrogen for the EnergiPark Åland project because of Aurora, its new 10 MW modular system based on proven alkaline technology. Aurora combines reliability with innovation in a compact, pressurized design offering the highest MW/m² ratio in the market, just 17.8 m² per MW.
With clear documentation, full engineering support, and technician-led maintenance training, Aurora simplifies ownership while maximizing uptime. Pre-manufactured for cost efficiency and fast installation, it is an outdoor-ready solution built to withstand everything from freezing cold to extreme heat.

The Outcome
The project is on its Planning phase.
