Director-General for Mobility and Transport visits Stargate

• Stargate Hydrogen welcomed the delegation of the Director-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission, Henrik Hololei, to its headquarters in Tallinn.

Director-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission, Henrik Hololei, visited Stargate Hydrogen on 4th November to discuss the prospects for zero-emission solutions for rail transport and the role Estonian companies can play in offering climate-frielndy solutions for mobility and transport.

The visit comes after Stargate Hydrogen announced in October that it has reached an agreement with Operail, an international rolling stock company, for the development of hydrogen-powered fuel cell locomotives in Estonia.

Erik Kuus, the CEO of Stargate Hydrogen, said: „We were honoured to welcome the Director-General at our premises. We strongly support the Commission’s long-term strategy of net-zero by 2050 and believe all sectors need to play their part, including the heavy transportation sector.“
